St. Paul Roofing & Siding Since 1985 | JG Hause Construction

Roofing & Siding in St. Paul, MN

St. Paul has some of the most character-filled homes in the Twin Cities: century-old foursquares in Mac-Groveland, Victorians on the Hill, post-war bungalows in Como and Highland Park, and everything in between. Those homes deserve exterior work that protects them from Minnesota weather while respecting how they were built.

JG Hause Construction provides roofing, siding, and storm damage repair for homeowners throughout St. Paul. Whether a hailstorm just rolled through or your siding is showing its age, our team will inspect your home, explain your options in plain language, and do the job right the first time.

We’ve been working on St. Paul homes since 1985

Featured St. Paul Project: 15 Years Later, They Called Us Again

New shingle roof on a St. Paul, MN home after storm damage replacementIn 2011, a storm damaged the roof on this St. Paul home, and the homeowners hired JG Hause Construction to replace it. That roof protected their home for the next 15 years, until another severe storm hit in 2026.

When it was time to deal with the damage, they didn’t have to search for a roofer. They called us again.

Our team climbed the roof and did a detailed inspection. We found classic hail bruising across the soft metal vents and the shingles themselves. We documented the damage with photos to support their insurance claim, met with their adjuster on site, and once the claim was approved, walked the homeowners through exactly what the project would include. After that, it was the easy part and doing what we do best, doing the actual roofing work!

The result is a fresh, dependable roofing system designed to protect the home for years to come. And for us, there’s an added satisfaction in knowing that we were trusted with the same home twice.

2011: JG Hause replaces the roof after a storm.

2026: JG Hause returns after another storm to replace it again.

That’s the kind of relationship we’re proud to build.

Why St. Paul Homeowners Choose JG Hause

We look at the whole home. A roof or siding project shouldn’t be planned on its own. We consider how your roof, siding, trim, and architectural details work together so the finished home looks right from every angle.

We explain what we find. After an inspection, you’ll get a clear picture of your roof’s condition, with photos, and an honest recommendation, even if that means telling you it doesn’t need replacing yet.

We understand older homes. Many St. Paul homes have decades of layered repairs, older decking, and architectural details you won’t find on newer builds. We plan for that before we start.

Customers come back. Our featured project above isn’t unusual. Many of our customers call us again for their next project, and refer their neighbors.

St. Paul Roofing & Siding FAQ

How do I know if my roof has storm damage?
Hail damage often looks like dark spots or bruises where granules have been knocked off the shingles, and wind damage can show up as lifted, creased, or missing shingles. Much of it isn’t visible from the ground. If a significant hail or wind storm has passed through your neighborhood, a professional inspection is the safest way to know.

My home is in a St. Paul historic district. Can you still replace my roof or siding?
Yes, but homes in designated heritage preservation districts may need City review before exterior changes, especially changes to materials or appearance.

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family roof replacements are completed in one to three days, depending on the size of the home, the complexity of the roof, and the weather. We’ll give you a timeline for your specific project before we start.

Can new siding work with my existing roof?
Yes. Choosing siding that complements an existing roof is one of the most common challenges homeowners face, and it’s something our design team helps with on every siding project.
